“Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;
keep watch over the door of my lips.
Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord;
in you I take refuge”
I want to be a man of character and integrity, but so often I can get tripped up by my tongue, or my heart led astray by evil. As the Lord leads me into new areas in music, He reminds me that I need to abide in Him and be diligent in the Word if I am to have integrity and be a man of character. He is demonstrating to me that He has plans to take me places where my character needs to be strong, so that I may be a witness to his glory. He led me to this Psalm as an answer to prayer. He gave me a new song based on this Psalm, and I hope to share it soon with my church family at Grace Church www.grace4families.com
